Carla was born in 1938, visually impaired. She was widowed at age 45 and raised her three girls alone. William, a 1940 lever, has dedicated his life to others, showing quality films at the Studio Keller cinema (which bears his name) and carrying out educational projects for schools. Retirement, however, is not enough for either of them to survive.
Thanks to the Thirteenths of Specchio dei tempi, Carla and William receive a much-needed contribution every Christmas, and Forza Nonni! allows them to eat a healthy diet, with biweekly grocery delivery, and to have the psychological support of volunteers, who never make them feel alone.
The elders of Friendship's Thirteenths no longer have anyone by their side. Or they have behind them families divided by decades, shattered by sudden misfortunes and daily poverty. They are frail and unfortunate elders, overwhelmed by life.
They are left alone, with bills in the red and late nights out of anguish. We want to embrace them in the only possible way: with concrete support.
