Counteracting traffic accidents caused by alcohol abuse on weekend nights: this is the goal of the project “Un soffio ti può salvare la vita,” promoted by the Specchio dei tempi Foundation in collaboration with the Provincial Command of the Turin Carabinieri. The initiative stems from the need to raise awareness among new generations about the dangers of drunk driving, in a social context where media influences often promote risky behavioral patterns.
“Generazione Prevenzione” is a project dedicated to high school students in Turin and the Metropolitan City, with the aim of raising awareness among young people about the main cancer risk factors — smoking, alcohol, and drugs — and promoting informed choices for their health.
The educational programme, developed by Specchio dei tempi together with the Fondazione Piemontese per la Ricerca sul Cancro, the Candiolo Institute – IRCCS, the Agnelli Foundation and the Carabinieri, takes place in schools through workshops led by doctors and researchers, followed by information sessions held by the Carabinieri on the dangers of risky lifestyles and irresponsible driving.
