Specchio's solidarity for flood victims

The solidarity campaign launched already a few hours after the first floods, together with our sister foundation Specchio d'Italia, raised almost two million euros.

This was made possible thanks to the generosity of thousands of donors and the valuable collaboration with Satispay: a new, great proof of solidarity, which allowed us to immediately put in place interventions in the hardest hit areas.

What was done

The Foundation's intervention in Emilia Romagna saw us engaged on several fronts:
  • Renovation and rehabilitation of 7 schools
  • Renovation of 1 sports hall
  • Grants for the restart of 160 small businesses
  • Support for struggling families and small local businesses

The subscription reached 2,429,587 euros from 69,484 donors, also with important contributions, in addition to Lu-ve Group and Lavazza, from Satispay and Iveco.

In the past few months, Specchio dei tempi has already completed renovations at the Torchi elementary school in Massa Lombarda, the Palalumagni gymnasium-palace in Lugo, and the Capucci preschool, also in Lugo. Educational support interventions have been carried out in other flooded schools (Forlì, Faenza, Tredozio, Modigliana).

“Traversara calls, solidarity responds”
Last September, flooding swept through Traversara di Bagnacavallo, leaving a community on its knees. But that cry for help - “Traversara calls” - touched the hearts of all of Italy. Today Specchio dei tempi responds, thanks to the generosity of its donors, with 100 vouchers of 250 euros each. Concrete help for more than 60 families, who will be able to buy essential household appliances and rebuild their daily lives. Traversara is not alone: together, we start again.
